Osteoarthritis in an animal is not the end

NOLTREX™ - EFFECTIVE VISCOPROTHESIS FOR TREATMENT JOINT DISEASES IN ANIMALS

Synthetic hydrogel for lasting joint health

Joint diseases are a very common pathology in horses, dogs, not only in large, but also in small breeds, as well as in other domestic animals. Every year from 10 to 40% of horses, dogs and cats suffer from musculoskeletal disorders. With osteoarthritis, patients suffer from lameness, local pain and edema, decreased activity, and depression.
Effective for lameness and prolonged pain in the affected joint

NOLTREX™ effect lasts longer than of other treatments This is due to a special formula, thanks to which NOLTREX™ provides long-term viscosupplementation (maintains the viscous properties of the joint fluid)

Thanks to its unique formula and action, NOLTREX™ can help when other treatments have failed NOLTREX™ allows achieving the high results of therapy even in severe stages of the disease

Supportive treatment for cartilage pathology and osteochondral defects

Accumulates in areas of cartilage damage and physically protects tissues The experiment proved the presence of NOLTREX™ on the surface of the articular cartilage

Improves gliding and helps stabilize the synovial environment to maintain joint function The proven mechanisms of action of NOLTREX™ provide an effective therapy for continuous joint health

NOLTREX™ therapy is compatible with other joint treatments

NOLTREX™ intra-articular injections are compatible with systemic treatment NOLTREX™ is a synthetic inert hydrogel, therefore its use does not affect the effectiveness of systemic therapy for diseases of the musculoskeletal system

Other treatments do not affect the NOLTREX™ effects NOLTREX™ is eventually eliminated from the body through the tissue mechanisms of the joint, therefore systemic therapy does not change the effectiveness of NOLTREX™ after administration

The hydrogel is inert and highly compatible with tissues
NOLTREX™ has no local and systemic pharmacological, immunological and metabolic effects NOLTREX™ is an inert medical device, therefore it does not affect the surrounding organs and tissues

The presence of NOLTREX™ does not affect the properties and circulation of its own synovial fluid in the joint NOLTREX™ is mechanically mixed with synovial fluid without binding it, due to which the metabolism in the joint remains the same
Endoprosthesis protection
The polyacrylamide macromolecule is stabilized by 3-dymensional bonds, providing protection against biodegradation by hyaluronidases NOLTREX™ is a 100% high molecular weight synthetic material. The body lacks the enzymes that can quickly destroy it

The presence of trace amounts of silver ions in NOLTREX™ helps to protect the material from bacterial colonization * Silver ions maintain the sterility of the viscoprosthesis when inserted into a non-inflamed joint

* NOLTREX™ has no direct antibacterial effect and should be used when there is no risk of infection
Proven safe elimination from the body
The endoprosthesis undergoes complete biodegradation through hydrolysis and phagocytosis by synoviocytes NOLTREX™ gradually breaks down into small fragments, is captured by the cells of the joint and excreted from the body

Polyacrylamide is safely removed from the synovial environment and the body over time Scientifically proven completely safe excretion of NOLTREX™ from the body through the kidneys and liver

NOLTREX ™ is actively used in veterinary practice in Russia, EU, North America and other countries of the world. Currently, EQUISIT (Belgium) and Nucleus Regenerative Therapies, LLC (USA) are engaged in distribution and promotion activities of the product, the dealer networks of which cover the territories of the countries of the European Union, North America, Latin America, which undoubtedly indicates its high level of success.

Dr. Leah Petipa and Dr. Axel Beccar Varella discuss case selection for Noltrex® Vet.

Dr. Leah Petipa: I got involved with Noltrex probably three or four years ago. I had a case of a grand prix dressage horse that previously had surgery on its meniscus. And post-surgery it had never really come back, there was a lot of suspected “bone on bone”, and there was really nothing we had exhausted everything to keep the horse going. So, I started doing some research and I came across this product. After several treatments he was back, now in full work and actually showing this coming season!

Double H Farm, Wellington, Florida Quentin Judge discusses his Introduction to Noltrex® Vet
Leah Patipa is our veterinarian, she and her husband Axel Varella. We have always been good friends with them; Leah and Ax have always been our second opinion. Axel is an excellent surgeon; we contacted him for various procedures. I had an older horse for Grand Prix competition. At one time it was my best horse, but he had a small injury. We were then in Calgary, Spruce Meadows.

Dr. Jessica Huntington explains how she integrated Noltrex® Vet into her practice

I’m in the rodeo world, right? I see these young barrel horses going off to futurities, these team roping horses going off to futurities. Some derby horses… We see the same repetitive injuries. The left stifle, medial meniscal tearing. And there’s kind of two trains of thoughts. We can do arthroscopy to look at that meniscus, and clean it up maybe. Or we can go on to the more conservative approach, which would be rest and rehab.

A lot of my clients, a lot of my trainers and staff, we routinely check horses before big shows, before any show, and sometimes just because it’s been two months. We flex their joints, examine them, and maybe we find early signs of disease. There are two scenarios here: you have a lame horse and you observe a consistent lameness, which is blockable; and then there is a young horse that trains hard and has polysynovitis, they are sore everywhere, then in such cases you can spend two days doing a blockage.

Discusses her Introduction to Noltrex Vet

I’m Shannon Dueck, I’m an international grand-prix dressage rider. I’m from Canada but I live now down in Loxahatchee, FL. I have been aware of Noltrex Vet product since it first came into the United States. For one of its clinical trials, I think it was the first clinical trial, I was in with one of my horses. This was a really especially young horse that I’ve gotten and he would started in his first CDIS. We were trying to gear up towards Pan-American games. But, he was passing the CDIS jogs and I felt there was something not quite right. So, before the season started down here in Wellington, I had my vet to really check on him all over, and yes, we found a meniscal tear.

Today we are going to do another Deeper Dive series, a technical series for veterinarians only, on how to best use Noltrex Vet in their practice. Today’s discussion will be on the use of Noltrex Vet in Navicular Bursas. Navicular bursa injection has been around for a very long time. Primarily, it has been used with steroids. Triamcinolone, mostly, but betamethasone and Depo-Medrol [methylprednisolone] have also been used historically. The most important thing to do, when you are considering a navicular bursa injection, is to be as certain as you can about the specific type of navicular syndrome that you are trying to manage. In today’s world, MRI is the most advanced diagnostic to give you the capability to understand these types of navicular syndromes, to the best of your ability. Specifically talking about navicular bursas, I am sure it is the same as with other disciplines, these horses, particularly the older they get, we see a huge amount of horses with deep flexor [tendon] problems with associated navicular bursitis.

I think doing just what you’re doing right now with Noltrex Vet, the horse public and the horse owner today, they are very savvy and they do their own research. I think the more that’s out there for them to have access to, about your product, makes it easier for us to introduce them to that product. And I have just within the last 60 days-ish had people asking, “Have you used this product?” And that kind of opens the door, - “As a matter of fact, I have and as a matter of fact I think that’s where we should go with the treatment of your horse”.
